My mom and sister-in-law (Barb) took Madi, Max, and Emily (Madi's cousin) for a walk today. Madi started singing, then turned to Barb and said, "Can you hear my song?" Barb said, "Yeah, I like it." Then Madi said, "Is it bugging you?" Barb laughing said, "No." Madi said, "Oh, ok" and kept singing. :)

I will post more soon, hopefully. I just wanted to write this down before I forgot.

Madi's Christmas songs...

Some random stories... I couldn't leave the poopy story on there forever. (btw... you are right that Madi's diapers are unforgettable, but I think the frequent toilet talk on here is more because Madi's Mommy thinks it's funny and less because she talks a lot about it. :) It really is one of my New Year's Resolutions to be less crude on my blog. :) Anyway, here we go.

One of Madi's favorite Christmas songs is "The First Noel." These are her words: "Da Third No-ah-well, well the ainhell his words."

Today, we were listening to Christmas music on the radio while we were eating lunch.
ME: Madi! Listen! It's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by Bach.
MADI: No, it's by Beethoven.
ME: It is? Are you sure?
MADI: Yeah, it is.
ME: Oh

What would really make this story is if she had been right. Unfortunately, she wasn't, but I was pleased that she knew who Beethoven was. Thanks again, Little Einsteins!

Madi and Kurt were playing today on the couch. Madi said, "Dad, your belly's like a caterpillar." Hee, hee... sorry, Kurt. I had to- it was too funny.

We are the Knights who say "poopy"

Transcript (as close to verbatim as I can remember) of last night on the way to the ward Christmas party:
MADI: something, something, something (I couldn't understand this part) poopy.
ME: What? Your poopy?
MADI: Yeah, my poopy.
ME: What about your poopy?
MADI: Talk about it.
ME: Ok. (Kurt and I trying not to laugh out loud) What do you want me to say?
MADI: Poopy.
ME: Poopy.
MADI: Thank you.

At this point, Kurt and I are dying, laughing so hard we can't breathe.

MADI: Why you laughing about, Mommy and Daddy?
ME: Oh, Madi, you are just so funny. Such a funny girl.
MADI: You're welcome, Mommy.

I fell asleep last night still laughing.

Origin of our blog name...

For those of you who have missed out on this fabulous piece of pop culture (Emily, I can't believe you've never seen this), our blog name comes from the movie Monte Python and the Holy Grail. I am attempting to put a clip of this part of the movie on here. Yes, the clip is stupid. The whole movie is stupid... stupidly funny. It's one of those movies that you have to watch at 2am when you are sleep deprived and really punchy to fully appreciate. The clip is kind of long (5 min), but you will get the point if you only watch the first couple of minutes. Anyway, here you go: the origin of our blog name:

After watching this clip, I realized that I had misquoted (I put "knights that say ni" instead of "who say ni"). I have changed our name accordingly.

I interrupt this silence to bring you more silence...

So, part of the reason I haven't posted in so long is because I just wanted Kurt's picture to linger as long as possible. But the other reason is that the Thanksgiving to New Year's stretch is like 6 months smushed into six weeks. Life has picked up pace!

I plan to post a highlights post soon... hopefully tomorrow? Thanks for caring. If you don't care, thanks for not telling me. :)
