Thanks, Bob!

Madi read her first book on Sunday. If anyone knows the Bob books, it was the first one: Mat. She was so ecstatic. She wanted to read all of them right after. She then realized how long it took to sound out every word, so she stopped after the second book. Today, she finished #4. I'm so excited for her. Reading is probably the most wonderful gift anyone could receive- it opens a whole new world. Today, Bob... tomorrow, Harry Potter. Go, Madi!

I too love Bob books. I was JUST looking for set 3 before turning to your blog. Reading takes a lot of hard work. Way to go Madi!

Hooray for Madi. But then we always knew she was a child prodigy. Ben keeps wanting to check out Transformer books from the library, UGH! I don't want to stifle his emerging literacy but how do you artfully nix the lame books your kids want to read?

No way! Madi knows how to read! Time flies! I miss her, she was the funnest girl to babysit. EVER.

How are you guys! I just found your blog and I loved catching up with you! Greetings from the Junkkaris in Finland!

Oh, and lots of hugs to Madi. :)

How funny. Sam just read his first word on his own, so I went to the library and asked the librarian what she recommended. She put the Bob books on hold for me and we are anxiously awaiting them! Have you and Madi played at www.starfall.com? Sam always wants to "check his email" so this is a good alternative.
