Do I have to post a long post if I haven't posted in 100 years?

Good, b/c I'm not going to.  I've been gone a long time and a lot has happened since then.  The kids have grown up, I graduated, Madi started kindergarten, Max started pre-school, Becca's almost 2.  Madi's still wicked smart, Max is still over-the-top kind ("Mommy, you da best Mommy in da ho wowd."  or "Mom, thanks for making such a yummy dinner."  I could go on...), and Becca is about the funniest thing running around on 2 legs.  I feel like life's moving so quickly I can hardly take everything in. It's kind of like the feeling you have as a kid on one of those spinning tea cup rides... at first, you try to look around while you're spinning, but pretty soon, you just have to close your eyes and enjoy the thrill of the ride.  While, on the one hand, I wish I could document all these terribly funny and terribly difficult moments as I'm experiencing them, on the other hand, sometimes I feel like I should just close my eyes and enjoy the thrill.

I would lie if I said I really wanted to blog (if that weren't really amply evident from my 4 month hiatus). I have such mixed feelings toward this funny type of communication.  It sometimes irritates me that even when I try to be honest about how imperfect our lives are, recording only snippets of the memorable times tends to paint a rosier picture than reality.  I've noticed myself comparing my own imperfect self and family life to snippets of others' best moments recorded on their blogs.

I will probably still occasionally post, if anyone still follows this.

Here's a classic picture from this summer...

Until the next time,
Jenn

if you blog for YOURSELF, then you don't have to worry about how others perceive it! i'm glad that i can keep in touch with others through my blog but really it is my own journal/scrapbook because i would forget all of this stuff if i didn't document it! if you have an actual journal or scrapbook, and blogging is annoying to you, then don't do it (even though i like seeing your cute family)! but if you and your kids get a kick out of going back to look at previous posts, then keep it up! love ya!

Gosh! I can't believe how big your kiddos are! Time has just flown by :(
It's so good to hear that things are going well for you guys. I agree, blogging is difficult. I rarely have time for it, myself. I've tried picking it up again lately and I do good for awhile and then I relapse :) I do love getting on to see how everyone else is doing, though. So I will keep checking your blog in hopes for more "Knight moments", Good or bad :D

We love to see your faces here whenever. CONGRATS on graduating and on having those three unique and loveable kiddos. It is always so fun to read about them because ours have some similarities in ages and stages and such. Plus I love your outlook, so thanks for the occasional opportunity to read you. Love you guys.

I love your posts! Not only am I totally impressed with you and your family, but I also get such a kick out of your "reality" . . . did I just say "get a kick out of?" That sounds so 1950's. Anyway, keep posting. Also, now that you're done with school and don't have anything else to do with your time, you and Bubby should take a little jaunt down to CT for a visit. I'll even make some chocolate chip nothing or something.

Hey, I hear you on the blogging dilemma, and I'm worse about it than you. But whenever you get around to it, I love to hear what the knights are up too. Your kids are so creative. They crack me up. And I think I know where they got it. ;)

I still do. Love you and your kids, even though I haven't met any of them. There's a grad program in Boston that I'm totally interested in. *Maybe* we'll be Bostinites together, someday!
